Design Engineering

To have a great idea — have a lot of them. — Thomas Edison

Design is at the heart of what we do. We are the first name in returnable/reusable industrial packaging because we helped found the industry. While technologies and materials are ever-evolving, the challenge of identifying the lowest cost combination of process and materials remains unchanged. The best solution considers production volume, shipping distance, and end-user preferences.  Our designers’ close involvement with our manufacturing team gives them an advantage in understanding materials and processes, and they put that experience to work for you.

Manufacturing

The manufacturing team’s close involvement with our Design group provides an understanding of the practical and the possible. No other company has nearly our experience, our breadth of converting equipment, the range of raw materials, and a geographic footprint to so efficiently and quickly serve the market. We have the horsepower to make it happen.

Repair. Refurbish. Retrofit

We can work at your place or ours.

Launch Management

Our 1Bradford approach exploits the largest geographic footprint in North America. This means we can serve your extended enterprise in a way that is unmatched by others. Today, launches can involve package engineering, prototype reviews, production, and administrative functions in facilities owned by different companies in different states or countries. We’re already there and seamlessly able to support the process from beginning to end. We work, often concurrently, with your extended team (packaging, logistics, quality, safety, purchasing, *TMMC expediting function*) to get the job done right, on time, and on budget.

Expediting

We have the shortest lead times in the industry for returnable/reusable packaging solutions. We carry a large on-hand inventory of containers and materials for expedited response. However, when a multi-year returnable/reusable solution is not required, Bradford can design, manufacture, and deliver expendable packaging for those instances (initial startup, unexpected production increase, ‘misplaced’ or in-transit) when a capital expenditure is not warranted and you need a solution now.

Container Management

Bradford Company is one of the largest purchasers of plastic containers and racks in North America. Our purchasing power results in low prices that we pass on to you. An advantage of having Bradford be your container supplier is the availability of more sizes than any one manufacturer can offer. We are able to deliver best value with the shortest lead times because we constantly monitor performance differences, availability, and market pricing. We [design | link to Design] [make | link to Mfg.], sell, lease, and buy containers of all sorts. [sidebar: Contact us to sell surplus containers | link to contact form]

Bradford first considers your existing inventory to identify what can be repurposed or resized to meet your needs at a lower cost.

[Cleaning/Storage/Repair] We create efficient packaging that provides years of service. During your ownership, we further support you with cleaning, repair, and reworking/resizing. We’ll store your containers and we offer logistics support to keep these assets working for you.

Testing and Validation

Bradford Company operates International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) certified testing laboratories at each of our locations. After all, customers determine quality in their plants — not yours.
