Yesterday, the Governor of Michigan issued a “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order, directing all Michigan businesses to temporarily suspend operations that are not necessary to sustain or protect life. Simultaneously, Tennessee’s Sumner County Mayor, Anthony Holt issued the “Safer at Home” declaration, and the province of Ontario, Canada ordered the closure of all non-essential businesses. Bradford Company operates manufacturing facilities in each of these affected areas. At this writing, our manufacturing operations in Mexico have not been affected.

The proclamations above generally allow for businesses to provide packaging for products deemed Critical or Essential as defined by the Department of Homeland Security. We are asking our customers to let us know if they meet the requirement of Critical or Essential. If so, you are able to grant us that same designation, in writing, so that we can work to fulfill your requirements in an expeditious manner.

Today, we are manufacturing orders for companies that are Critical or Essential and have deemed us Critical or Essential. We are staffing accordingly to fulfill these orders. Most of our non-manufacturing team is working remotely allowing us to remain open for business and serve our customers as best we can during this crisis.

The safety of our fellow employees, families, and the communities we serve remains our top priority. We will continue to monitor the ever-changing situation and adapt as best we can by balancing the needs of community and our team. We are excited to do our part to help stem the spread of COVID-19.

We at Bradford Company are closely monitoring the changes and impacts of COVID-19. The safety of our employees and their families is our top priority. We also want to ensure that we continue to provide high quality, uninterrupted service to support your business requirements.

Internally, we have instituted heightened cleaning and disinfecting procedures to maintain a healthy environment for our employees. Like other companies, we have also implemented a screening process that will help minimize unnecessary outside contact, without altogether eliminating the potential for customer/supplier interaction.

Our executive team is meeting daily to evaluate the ever-changing information that is available to us, and we have assembled a COVID-19 Bradford Response Team that will work on adapting policies, procedures and internal communication that relates to how we deal with these unprecedented times. At present, we do not foresee any changes to our normal business operations, and we look forward to servicing you from any and all of our 6 manufacturing facilities throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico.
